Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Desktop Support & IT Asset Coordinator to provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support for office and shop-floor users. You will manage endpoint deployment, troubleshoot devices, and maintain IT hardware/software records in the ITAM system.

This role also supports IT compliance activities, ensuring audit evidence and documentation are accurate and up to date, while handling asset lifecycles, licenses, and vendor activity in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in IT support or IT asset management.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and support.
  • Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online/Teams/SharePoint.
  • Experience using ITSM or service desk ticketing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • Willingness to work onsite in a manufacturing environment and lift/move IT equipment.
  • U.S. Person status per 22 CFR 120.62.

Job description

The Desktop Support & IT Asset Coordinator provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to office and shop-floor users and supports the day-to-day management of IT hardware, software and device records.

The role is primarily focused on desktop support, endpoint deployment, troubleshooting, ticket resolution and IT asset lifecycle activities. The position also supports IT compliance activities by ensuring required records, approvals, checklists and audit evidence are accurately maintained and kept up to date.

This position does not own the company’s compliance program but plays an important role in maintaining the IT records and documentation required to support regulatory and audit requirements.

Primary responsibilities
User Support & IT Operations:
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for office and shop-floor users
  • Troubleshoot, configure, deploy and support laptops, desktops, printers, conference rooms, mobile devices and other endpoints
  • Manage assigned tickets through resolution, including triage, follow-up and documentation
  • Process approved hardware, software and access requests
  • Maintain user guides, knowledge articles and support procedures
IT Asset Management:
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software records in the ITSM/ITAM system
  • Receive, tag, assign, track, reconcile and retire IT equipment
  • Support device lifecycle activities including onboarding, transfers, returns, repairs and disposal
  • Maintain required asset classifications, chain-of-custody records and media destruction documentation
  • Track software licenses, renewals, purchases and vendor activity
  • Perform periodic inventory reviews and resolve discrepancies
Compliance & Documentation Support:
  • Maintain accurate onboarding, offboarding, approval, training and policy records
  • Collect and organize IT evidence for audits, assessments and compliance reviews
  • Support access reviews, recurring control checklists and compliance calendars
  • Maintain records related to vendor access, file sharing, incidents and corrective actions
  • Ensure required documentation is complete, current and retained as per established procedures
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Basic Microsoft 365 administration
  • Intune and Autopilot Endpoint Enrollment
  • Maintain and update IT procedures, work instructions and runbooks
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, service desk or IT asset management
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Microsoft 365 support experience, including user accounts, Exchange Online/mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
  • Experience working with tickets in an ITSM or service desk platform
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and timely records
  • Comfortable following written procedures and documenting completed work
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work onsite in a manufacturing environment and lift/move IT equipment
  • U.S. Person as defined in 22 CFR 120.62
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Account Administration
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune or Windows Autopilot
  • CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation or similar certification
  • Experience working in a regulated environment such as aerospace, defense or medical devices
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks or requirements such as CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, ITAR, ISO 9001 or AS9100

position is offering a pay range of $60,000-$75,000/year. However, we consider several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
