Overview

Hybrid in Princeton, NJ or NYC 3 days a week

Looking for a hands-on developer to build a desktop application for Bridge AI using Tauri and Rust.

This is a hands-on development role. Looking for someone who can design, build, troubleshoot, and deliver working desktop integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a Tauri-based desktop shell for Bridge AI.
• Develop Rust-based integrations with local desktop resources.
• Integrate with productivity tools such as Outlook, Calendar, and OneDrive.
• Work with the web and API teams to expose desktop capabilities to the Bridge AI UI.
• Enable secure file system access for reading, selecting, and working with local files.
• Follow secure development practices for permissions, authentication, logging, and error handling.
• Support invoking approved command-line tools from the desktop app.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Rust.
• Experience integrating desktop apps with local operating system capabilities.
• Experience invoking and managing CLI processes securely.
• Understanding of secure desktop app design, permissions, and data handling.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React or MERN applications.
• Experience with AI-enabled applications or agent-based workflows.
• Experience with enterprise desktop deployment and packaging.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph APIs.
