Gensler in Denver is seeking a mid‑level designer to blend creative design with technical execution, delivering purposeful interior spaces for diverse clients. You will join an engaged team that values collaboration, mentorship, and high‑quality documentation from concept through construction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of design or architecture.
  • 5+ years of interior design/architecture leadership experience; recent workplace project experience required.
  • NCIDQ or RID certification preferred.
  • LEED accreditation or WELL AP preferred.
  • Portfolio of workplace interior projects.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret client needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation.
  • Work with external consultants, product reps, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
  • Mentor junior designers and lead design teams to produce innovative spaces.
  • Generate design concepts and drawings, including finishes and detailing for construction.
  • Present design concepts and progress to clients and project teams.

As a Mid-Level Gensler Designer, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce purposeful, functional and beautiful spaces for our clients. You should have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture with a focus on Interiors or Interior Design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You must be an integral part of your teams and actively foster a respectful, creative, and inspiring design environment. You should have a great reputation in the design community at large.

What You Will Do
  • Perform interior design assignments that include interpreting client's needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, designdevelopmentand construction documentation
  • Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation,selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Participate in theselectionand presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
  • Generate design with 3D models, Revit, Sketchup or other software, create digital 3D view to communicate design concepts
  • Generate Interior finishes and reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
  • Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
  • Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
  • Guide and mentor junior designers
  • Work in a synergistic manner with other design and professional staff
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of design or architecture
  • Current NCIDQ or RID certification as an Interior Designer or Licensed Architectpreferred
  • 5+ years of design leadership of interior design and/or architecture projects; recent workplaceproject experience isrequired.
  • LEED accreditation or WELL AP is preferred
  • Experience delivering highly sustainable design solutions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Proficiencyin Revit and other computer design programs
  • Must have a portfolio of workplace interior projects. Ideally the project portfolio will show a range of projects.

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes an estimated base salary of $75,000-$95,000, bonus opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
