Designer (Piping) (Hybrid Schedule Available)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Piping Designer with at least 5 years of piping design experience within the shipbuilding industry. The candidate will develop detailed piping drawings based on applicable specifications and work order instructions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of piping design experience within the shipbuilding industry
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software, such as Ship Constructor, Nupas, Cadmatic, Inventor, and CATIA

SKILLS

• Strong understanding of piping design principles in the shipbuilding industry
• Ability to prepare accurate and detailed Bills of Material (BOM)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop detailed piping drawings based on specifications and work order instructions
• Ensure design products and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications
• Prepare Bills of Material (BOM)
• Consult with vendors on project-related activities
• Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups, considering ease of manufacture, material availability, and contractual specifications
