Job summary

Paramount Pictures in New York is seeking a mid-level designer with strong production skills to work with the Design Director and Marketing team on projects that align with CBS Sports brand goals. You will prepare materials for final production, including banners, web graphics, print ads, social graphics and logo design.

The role requires 3–5 years of design experience, expert Figma skills, and a passion for sports.

Overview:

CBS Sports is looking for a mid-level designer with robust production skills and an affinity for sports. As part of the team you will work directly with the Design Director and Marketing Department where you’ll be in charge of projects that meet the brand goals of CBS Sports. You will prepare materials for final production, including but not limited to: Banner and Web Graphics, Print Ads, Social Media Graphics and logo design.

Responsibilities:

• Design and produce marketing assets that support CBS Sports brand initiatives and promotional campaigns
• Ability to create dynamic, modular ad systems that can easily scale across multiple sizes, placements, and digital platforms
• Take high level direction to complete projects quickly and proficiently
• Maintain high standards of quality for final files, precise archiving and project organization

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Art or Advertising
• 3-5 years of professional work experience as a designer
• Must be an initiator who can work autonomously, meet deadlines, deliver precise and error-free artwork, co-ordinate multiple projects and work well in a team environment
• Solid proficiency in Figma, including building scalable layouts, components, and design systems for marketing and product environments
• Deep knowledge of responsive and adaptive design, ensuring layouts translate proficiently across mobile, tablet, and desktop environments
• Must have expert-level, hands‑on experience with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Power Point
• Highly organized with solid attention to detail and file management
• Robust design fundamentals including layout, typography, and visual structure
• Passionate fan – we don’t care which sport. We’re looking for a sports fan who can design for sports fans

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience designing App Store and in-app promotional layouts, with a knowledge of platform guidelines, responsive design, and device breakpoints
• Experience designing product marketing assets that live within apps, websites, and streaming platforms
• Comfortability with collaborating with product, marketing, and development teams to prepare production-ready assets and organized design files
• Experience with video encoding, compression, AfterEffects, and Final Cut
• Illustration skills a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 81,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
