Your Mission

The Footwear Designer I Running & Training position will be responsible for meeting seasonal design objectives within the parameters of the PUMA International timeline. The candidate will design footwear by combining influences of sport performance and lifestyle to bring unique products to market. Designer expertise will be used in designing seasonal performance driven footwear that address fast paced design requests for footwear design detailing: color and material selection, presentation preparation, market research, and logistical support by

  • Conceptualize new footwear designs.
  • Provide market research and design trend analysis.
  • Research and understand different consumer needs and channels.
  • Design into both innovative performance product and cost-effective essentials.
  • Prepare design review presentations.
  • Execute footwear design detailing and technical packages for the factory and 3D teams.
  • Design and specify trend relevant color and material options.
  • Refine and finish footwear designs through multiple prototyping process.
  • Manage and update design tech packs and data base.
Your Talent
  • College/University degree in Industrial Design or related field.
  • Minimum 1 internship or 6 months – 1 year's product design experience in footwear design.
  • Strong drawing, rendering and presentation skills.
  • Refined design conceptualization and communication skills.
  • Creative and innovative design skills within multiple areas of the design process.
  • Competency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams (product line management and development teams)
  • Ability to travel and work internationally 25% yearly.

The Hiring range base pay for this position is $51,800 - $82,900 + Bonus + Benefits
