Bowman Consulting in Houston, TX is seeking a Designer I, Civil Oil & Gas to join our team. This entry‑level role focuses on providing CAD drafting and civil design support under supervision, collaborating with engineers and other designers to meet project standards.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of civil engineering principles. The position offers growth opportunities within a collaborative, client‑facing environment.

Purpose

Provide essential technical support, create comprehensive designs, and ensure compliance with project requirements while working in collaboration with engineers, architects, and other professionals. Expected to employ computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and modify project plans and use their experience to solve problems, pay attention to detail, and apply their in-depth understanding of civil engineering principles and industry best practices. Your extensive experience in civil engineering design will be instrumental in driving innovation and achieving project goals.

• Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, vendor data, and sketches.


• Coordinates and consults with engineers or other designers to complete projects, ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards.


• Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
