Job summary

LandDesign in Charlotte, NC seeks a Civil Engineer to provide design, technical, and production support to design studios in our Charlotte office.

Responsibilities include learning site design aspects, CAD drafting for plans, and coordinating with landscape architects and client teams. Entry-level applicants with a civil engineering degree and CAD familiarity are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Basic knowledge in AutoCAD and Civil 3D/Civil Design Software, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • E.I. / E.I.T. certification obtained or in-progress is preferred.
  • No prior experience required. Internship experience preferred.

  • Perform design tasks as directed by Project Lead.
  • Meet timeframes provided for assigned tasks.
  • Self-check work for completeness.

  • Collaborate with internal design team including landscape architects and planners and client consultant teams.
  • Research regulatory requirements through due diligence.
  • Contribute to the team by applying established procedures to solve routine problems.
  • Receive detailed instructions on all work.
