Job summary

Network Building + Consulting in the United States is seeking a Designer I to support project teams by developing design drawings for macro and small cell sites, fiber networks, and telecom facilities.

You will create civil engineering drawings in Civil 3D AutoCAD, read blueprints, follow NB+C CAD standards, track priorities, and occasionally visit sites to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience producing civil engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience producing civil/site engineering drawings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create civil engineering drawings using Civil 3D AutoCAD for fiber design.
• Track assigned tasks and manage priorities.
• Maintain NB+C CAD standards and templates.
• Read and analyze blueprints/drawings.
• Routinely produce accurate drawings in a fast and efficient manner.
• Occasional on-site visits needed.

The Designer I is a hybrid position that will support the project teams with varying degrees of direct project responsibilities while developing a baseline knowledge of the telecommunications site development process. Project work will focus on new site development of macro and small cell sites, the modification of existing telecommunications facilities, fiber optic networks, and other project types as required. Responsibilities will focus on the creation of design drawings while developing an understanding of client-specific telecommunications equipment and their usage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create civil engineering drawings using Civil 3D AutoCAD for fiber design
• Track assigned tasks and be aware of priorities
• Keep up with NB+C CAD standards and templates
• Read and analyze blueprints/drawings
• Routinely produce accurate drawings in a fast and efficient manner
• Occasional on site visits needed

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of experience with the production of civil engineering drawings
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• Experience with the production of civil engineering drawings (or similar site engineering drawings) preferred
• 2-year technical degree or appropriate commensurate experience required
