Design Observer Group in North Bergen, New Jersey is seeking an experienced Hard Goods Designer to develop innovative products across home décor, tabletop, bath accessories, storage, and kitchenware. The role requires strong design, color, and product development skills with hands-on experience in ceramics, resin, plastic, metal, and mixed materials.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related design field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience designing consumer hard goods.
• Experience designing ceramic/wood toothbrush holders, tissue box covers, decorative trays, dinnerware, plates, bowls, mugs, cups, storage and organization products, and bath accessories.
• Proficiency in NedGraphics, Rhino, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Ability to create renderings, technical drawings, specifications, and tech packs.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop hard goods collections from concept through production.
• Create renderings, technical drawings, specifications, and tech packs.
• Develop trend-right color palettes, finishes, graphics, and product details.
• Collaborate with sourcing, merchandising, product development, and overseas vendors.
• Review prototypes and production samples to ensure quality and design integrity.
• Research market trends, materials, and competitive products.

Educación

Hard Goods Designer | Home Décor, Tabletop & Bath Accessories

We are seeking an experienced Hard Goods Designer to develop innovative and trend-right products across home décor, tabletop, bath accessories, storage, and kitchenware categories. The ideal candidate will possess robust design, color, and product development skills, with firsthand experience creating products in ceramics, resin, plastic, metal, and mixed materials.

The position is based in our North Bergen, New Jersey Office - Monday to Thursday. Friday is a work-from-home day.
