Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex board layouts IAW IPC-2221.
• Enter design rules into the Cadence constraint manager.
• Generate all output files for board manufacture.
• Create and modify schematic diagrams using Cadence Concept HDL.
• Work closely with engineering disciplines and technical leads.
• Convey layout information to drafting and checking team.
• Incorporate engineering change orders on Cadence designs.

Position Description:

Senior Designer able to layout complex multi‑layer printed board designs using CADENCE ALLEGRO 17.2. Create complete deliverable fabrication packages for procurement and fabrication of both the bare board and assembly. Answer all layout‑related questions for the design team and outside board vendors. The position involves the following tasks:

• Prepare complex board layouts IAW IPC-2221 and associated specs and standards.
• Enter all design rules into the Cadence constraint manager.
• Generate all output files required for the manufacture of the board and assembly.
• Create new and modify existing schematic diagrams using Cadence Concept HDL.
• Work closely with checkers, various engineering disciplines, designers, and technical leads.
• Convey all correct layout information to the assigned drafting and checking team.
• Incorporate engineering change orders on Cadence designs using a product data management tool and instruct the drafting team on how to incorporate the design changes into drawings.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills Required:

• Proficient with CADENCE ALLEGRO.
• Proficient in using the Cadence constraint manager with solid knowledge of signal integrity and design‑for‑manufacture rules.
• Proficient in schematic capture using Cadence Concept HDL.

Education Required:

• Minimum of 8 years experience using CADENCE ALLEGRO and printed circuit board layout, and a BS in electrical or mechanical engineering.
