Job summary

ICM Inc. is seeking an intermediate design and drafting support professional for Process Engineering. You will perform design-drafting using AutoCAD 2D and 3D, follow established standards, and generate drawings from sketches and input while communicating requirements to teammates.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and constructability, with learning opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and rapid task initiation within an engineering environment.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or technical training required; bachelor preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D and MS Office.
  • Ability to review drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.

Job description

Responsible for providing intermediate level design and drafting support to Process Engineering.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
  • Perform design-drafting assignments using AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawing techniques.
  • Follow established standards, format and procedures to create, update, revise and modify drawings; communicate requirements of standards and procedures to others.
  • Utilize and create sketches, notes, and other input material to generate drawings.
  • Report changes and mistakes to Team Leader.
  • Learn and adapt quickly to assigned project tasks, proceeding independently to initiate those tasks.
  • Responsible for quality of work produced and follow methods of continuous improvement.
  • Perform work according to ICM quality policies.
  • Incorporate safety, operability, maintainability and constructability in design work.
Education/Certification:
  • Associates degree or Technical Training degree required
  • Bachelor or Technical degree preferred
Required Knowledge & Experience:
  • Possess excellent computer skills utilizing MS Office and AutoCAD (current version or within last 3 versions) 2D and
Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic ability to review and check the accuracy of work prepared by others
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Must understand use of tape measure, square, level and various layout tools
