Job summary

SOMERSET STAFFING is seeking a CAD engineer for a defense/aerospace client in Palm Bay, Florida. You will perform Creo MCAD design and drafting tasks in support of hardware engineering, producing accurate drawings and BOMs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 2 years post-secondary with related experience), ability to obtain TS clearance with SCI eligibility, and familiarity with ASME Y14.5/GDT.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI eligibility with favorable polygraph.
• Experience with CAD design, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and Creo is preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Performs a wide range of CAD design assignments in support of the hardware engineering organization including the editing of models and/or drawing, notes provided by engineering. Assures design documentation complies with the program requirements, organization s processes and industry standards. Prepares accurate drawings and schematics with proper tolerances, dimensions and instructions, with oversight from senior designers.
• Create and edit accurate and complete piece part/assembly designs and associated drawings utilizing Creo MCAD application
• Provide CAD support (Creo) throughout the product development process
• Create and edit parts lists and Bill of Materials utilizing Agile PDM
• Generate and/or modify product s models, drawings and documentation
• Support the control of mechanical digital data files and drawings
• Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders
• Input data and assure hardware structures are accurate in a Product Data Management tool
• Support resolution of problems/issues in CAD design/drawings and provide

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Ability and willingness to obtain U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and receive favorable polygraph result
