Description

As a Designer / Art Director at Device Brand Studio, you’ll lead the creative vision for campaign events across our device portfolio. You’ll drive concept development and oversee creative execution for high-impact seasonal campaigns, major product launches, and brand initiatives. Collaborating with creative teams, product marketing managers, and senior leaders, you will deliver compelling digital campaigns that span Amazon.com.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on design. You’ll guide creative teams in developing visually impactful work across owned and operated channels, adapt style guides for each device brand, and ensure visual consistency while meeting deadlines. Additionally, you will mentor our Costa Rica-based design production team to ensure quality standards are met.

You will work closely with project managers and creative directors to define timelines and develop innovative creative concepts, translating complex ideas into memorable customer experiences. There is also an opportunity to collaborate with engineers and creatives to explore how AI can streamline asset production, helping shape the future of scalable, high-volume creative work.

Key job responsibilities

  • At least 5+ years of design and art direction experience, with the ability to develop innovative creative work for high-volume digital campaign events
  • Ability to translate corporate style guides and customize them for specific campaigns
  • Proficiency in graphic design, branding, photography, and art direction for print, digital, and motion
  • Excellent design, conceptual skills, and the ability to guide and evaluate creative development
  • Passion for design and awareness of current tools, technologies, and trends
  • Motivated, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset as an art director
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and accepting feedback
  • In-depth knowledge of campaign development processes, including staffing and providing constructive feedback

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design experience
  • Online portfolio available
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) on macOS
  • Experience designing for mobile and desktop applications
  • Experience with Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and UX patterns
  • Creating services and applications across multiple platforms and devices
  • Experience in art directing or creating CGI environments
