Job summary

Gensler in Newport Beach is seeking an early career Designer to join a team of architects and interior designers. You will translate concepts into 3D models and drawings, contributing to education, healthcare and commercial projects.

You will collaborate with project teams, learn in-house workflows, and advance design through all phases toward licensure while growing your career at Gensler.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Architectural Degree program and working toward licensure.
• 3+ years of related project experience.
• Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Swift and flexible to work on concurrent projects and pursuits.
• You are curious, a creative thinker and an initiative‑taker.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Suite, Enscape, Run Diffusion and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Design Director and project team on conceptual designs and drawing sets.
• Create visual communication through drawings, models and renderings.
• Use AI tools in renderings, video, data analysis and presentations.
• Implement 3D modeling skills and learn in-house workflows for analysis and drawing.
• Learn to use and collaborate on Revit as part of production workflows.

Gensler Newport Beach is seeking an early career Designer. You will collaborate with a team of architects and interior designers to develop ambitious design concepts and in many cases advance the design through all phases of project delivery, building toward licensure and a reputation for being a well-rounded architect. You will be successful because you already know how to translate conceptual ideas and sketches into 3D models and have some experience with working drawings, and you are inquisitive about technical challenges as they arise. As an early career professional you may have a role on a wide range of project types including those in the education market, healthcare and commercial markets. What You Will Do

• Work with the Design Director and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations and drawing sets.
• Visual communication, including compelling drawings, models and renderings,
• Use AI tools in the production of renderings, video, data analysis and presentations.
• Implement your existing 3D modeling skills and learn in-house production workflows for analysis, modeling, drawing and collaborating with the team.
• Learn to use and collaborate on Revit, our production platform.
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.

Your Qualifications

*The base salary will be estimated between $80,000 - $95,000
