Interior Architects, Dallas studio, is seeking a Designer to support design development, presentations, and contract documents under supervision of Senior Designer or Project Manager. Responsabilités

• Develop design ideas and create presentation and construction drawings.
• Draft technical drawings.
• Review engineering and landscape drawings for design compliance.
• Ensure integration into overall design.
• Develop preliminary concept plans for larger projects.
• Mentor Junior Designers as needed.
• Develop and deliver design and furniture packages for interior/exterior.
• Obtain and manage cost estimates and budgets.

We are presently searching for a Designer for our Dallas studio. The Designer, working under general supervision of a Senior Designer or Project Manager, provides design support primarily in project administratio n, presentations, concept design through design development, and contract documents.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawings
• Drafts technical drawings
• Provide review of engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solution
• Ensures integration into overall design
• Preliminary concept plans for larger projects
• May develop and finalize conceptual design for smaller projects
• Oversees Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issues
• Provides detail for interior and architectural design projects
• Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for both interior and exterior
• Assists in developing packages for larger projects
• Obtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimates
• Manages design budget for assigned projects
• May mentor the work of Junior and Intermediate Designers

Qualifications:

• Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
• 6+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiors
