Job summary

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Wexner Medical Center seek an Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education (GME), Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Associate Medical Director for GME.

This senior leadership role provides strategic oversight, administration, quality management, operational leadership, and regulatory compliance for all graduate medical education programs sponsored by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Board certified in an appropriate specialty.
• Academic accomplishments sufficient for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in graduate medical education leadership within an academic medical center.
• Extensive knowledge of accreditation standards and GME operations.
• Demonstrated physician executive and administrative leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight, administration, quality management, and regulatory compliance for all GME programs.
• Serve as DIO and institutional representative to accrediting/regulatory bodies.
• Ensure a high-quality clinical learning environment advancing resident/fellow education and patient safety.
• Lead alignment of GME activities with organizational goals and governance processes.
