This Systems Development Engineer role focuses on supporting essential engineering services including Siemens ASIC, EDM, and Team Center that enable satellite research and development. You'll manage both cloud and physical infrastructure, with primary responsibility for RHEL Linux systems that run critical design and manufacturing applications. The position requires hands-on management of server deployments, system maintenance, and infrastructure improvements while ensuring consistent uptime for engineering teams. Working directly with stakeholders, you'll gather requirements, plan improvements, and implement changes through formal change control processes. Success in this role demands strict adherence to change management procedures to maintain system stability, including proper documentation, stakeholder approval, and scheduled maintenance windows. You'll balance urgent system needs with controlled changes while maintaining both cloud and physical environments supporting satellite development operations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
