Job summary

WATG seeks a Design Technology Coordinator to lead Revit + BIM production, testing, and deployment across Los Angeles, Tustin, Dallas, or New York offices. You will coordinate software, workflows, and automation tools, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate design delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, computational design, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in BIM/3D modeling and visualization tools.
• Proficiency with Revit required.
• Experience with acceleration, analysis, automation, and customization tools.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills in a rapidly changing design/delivery environment within the AEC industry.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and manages Revit + BIM models and collaborates with other disciplines and consultants on process objectives.
• Maintains project LOD matrices and BIM management plans under guidance from the Design Technology team.
• Provides production support for BIM and project documentation.
• Organizes and distributes drawings, models, and other deliverables.
• Supports project document control tasks related to BIM deliverables and archiving digital models, recording processes, and scripts.
• Contributes to tools and processes for project specifications and tracking of material lists, energy, water, and carbon use intensities.
• Monitors compliance with BIM standards and guidelines.
• Identifies opportunities to improve BIM deliverables.
• Assists in documenting and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Contributes to QA/testing of new BIM tools.
• Seeks innovative ideas, conducts research, and develops documentation to support solutions.
• Manages workload to meet project deadlines with guidance from project managers.
• Contributes to development and training of model- and data-driven design methodologies.

WATG is hiring a Design Technology Coordinator for the Los Angeles, Tustin, Dallas, or New York office.

Role

The Design Technology Coordinator – Revit + BIM possesses a high level of experience with production and documentation. The role involves coordinating, testing, and deploying design technology software and workflow solutions, including Autodesk products (with a focus on Revit), BIM tools, visualization software, AR/VR, AI, and related plugins. You will work on design projects within the architecture studios and, from time to time, with the firmwide Design Technology Team. Day-to-day tasks depend on project needs and deadlines. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create automation and acceleration tools for workflows and project delivery. Experience with operational management of cloud-based delivery platforms, environmental analysis, and data repositories is helpful.
