Job summary

AWS Marketing is seeking a Design Technologist to lead prototyping initiatives that influence product decisions and shape our digital experiences. You will bridge design and engineering to turn concepts into interactive prototypes, enabling rapid validation and iteration across our websites.

You'll own large-scale prototyping programs, partner with design, product, and engineering teams, and push boundaries to deliver customer-centric cloud experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and launching new products from the ground up.
• Experience with web, mobile web, or mobile app front-end development.
• BS degree in computer science or equivalent, or 4+ years of technical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in concept development and design ideation as part of a cross-functional team.
• Rapidly build and iterate on functional prototypes that express design intent, using the best and most appropriate tools and techniques for the task.
• Partner with engineering to ensure that interactive techniques and technologies translate through to shipping products and services.
• Be able to work creatively through and around perceived limitations and/or challenges imposed by the delivery platform to create delightful experiences for customers.
• Lead large, wide impact DT projects across many sites or product lines.
• Mentor and develop other Designers and Engineers
• Present work to all levels of leadership
• Participate in annual planning and end-to-end design process
• Evaluate and document new creative and/or engineering standards or patterns that could arise from your work
