Our client, a leader in Financial and Tax Software, is looking for someone to join their team as a Design Technologist (Front End Developer). This role is hybrid in San Diego, CA.

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming conceptual telemetry overlays into functional, polished user interfaces. You will be a key player in bridging the gap between high‑level design vision and technical implementation within an asynchronous, AI‑driven environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build Interactive Prototypes: Create high‑fidelity product prototypes and early‑stage applications that demonstrate the "Virtual Balcony" experience
- Translate Design Concepts: Turn sophisticated design mocks into functional, responsive, and high‑performance user interfaces.
- Integrate Systems: Seamlessly integrate APIs, AI services (NLP), and data sources into working front‑end experiences.
- Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Partner closely with design, product, engineering, data science, and research teams to ensure alignment.
- Technical Insight: Contribute to shaping the product architecture and assessing technical feasibility in early‑stage development.
- Rapid Iteration: Quickly test and iterate on interaction patterns and product concepts to refine the expert‑to‑executive feedback loop.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in design technology, UX engineering, motion design, web development, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven ability to push the boundaries of user interface design through experimentation, developing new tools, and creating innovative processes.
- Highly organized, self‑directed, and efficient, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects in a timely manner.
Skills & Technical Experienc e
- Front‑End Mastery: Strong development experience with React or similar modern frameworks.
- UI Engineering: Exceptional visual sensibility with the ability to implement polished, high‑quality interfaces that match design intent.
- Technical Breadth: Familiarity with modern web architecture, RESTful APIs, and AI/LLM integrations. Hybrid Communication: Expert ability to bridge design and engineering conversations fluently.
Nice to Have
- Media & Visualization: Experience with media, video playback platforms, or real‑time data visualization (e.g., D3.js).
