Job summary

You will be responsible for:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Developing and designing surgical proposals, completing segmentation designs for total knee replacement (TKA) from computer Tomography (CT) images, CAD models and product drawings by following standardized work instructions.
Ability to cross train in multiple departments
Analyzing patient CT images to optimize product design, and partnering with a case management coordinator to prioritize proposals and product designs based on customer demand.
Checking and releasing previously designed image segmentation, proposals and models to ensure a high level of quality.
Assist with concept development under the supervision of Product Development Engineers, or be assigned to special projects as needed.
Work closely with Process Improvement Engineers to troubleshoot, solve problems, and provide suggestions for future improvements.
Maintain a schedule of deadlines and tasks, and possess the ability to prioritize effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills with experience working in team-oriented project groups is strongly preferred
Able to take initiative & be self-managing
Provide feedback & may mentor as required
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Performs other duties assigned as needed

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering or related technical field. A minimum of 1 years of design experience with CAD/CAM systems and advanced design applications. A minimum of 2-3 years of related job experience preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

Knowledge of three-dimensional modeling and PLM software is required.
Knowledge of orthopedic product design is required.
Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and medical terminology is highly preferred.
Drafting and layout experience, project or product management, GD&T, ASME, rapid prototyping applications, free form modeling techniques, and engineering calculations is preferred.
Unigraphics/ NX, AMIRA, MIMICS, Parametric software experience, GeoMagic, and PLM experience is preferred.

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Up to 5% domestic travel required. Hybrid on-site in Warsaw, IN Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Required and Preferred Skills

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $64,000.00 - $102,350.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
