Job summary

RedBuilt LLC in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Design Technician (D1) to develop detailed Revit models, prepare shop drawings, and generate material lists for commercial EWP/mass timber projects. You will work under engineers, collaborating with architects and internal teams to deliver accurate, buildable designs.

The role offers growth from hands-on projects to leadership of complex builds, with a focus on accuracy, problem-solving, and construction-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or certificate in Engineering, Architectural Design, or related field.
• Experienced in drafting and modelling with Revit and comfort reading construction drawings.
• Basic trigonometry skills and strong attention to detail.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Creative problem-solving and strong communication.
• Team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate material lists so every project has exactly what it needs.
• Build detailed Revit models and shop drawings (walls, beams, slopes, layouts, etc.).
• Develop structural calculations for joists and trusses.
• Ensure designs are clear, complete, and construction-ready.

What You’ll Do (Core Duties + Responsibilities)

You'll play a key role in delivering accurate, buildable solutions that keep projects moving smoothly:

• Create accurate material lists so every project has exactly what it needs
• Build detailed Revit models and shop drawings (walls, beams, slopes, layouts, etc.)

What You Bring (Minimum Requirements)
