Job summary

Omnicom in Detroit is seeking an Associate Design Director to lead visual design of large-scale websites and digital products, from concept to launch, and to build a scalable design system. You will mentor designers and align with UX, strategy, and development teams to deliver cohesive experiences across platforms.

You will ensure WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, create developer-ready Figma files, and collaborate on Sitecore content workflows, while driving brand expression and motion design.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in UI, digital, or web design with leadership experience.
• Portfolio showing large-scale websites, design systems, and brand work.
• Hands-on in Figma, design systems with variables and tokens, and front-end token mapping.
• Strong prototyping skills to animate interactions and motion for reviews.
• Expert visual craft in typography, color, layout and UI best practices.
• Deep knowledge of user-centered design and accessibility, with championing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead visual design of large-scale websites and digital products from concept to launch.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system with clear documentation.
• Deliver developer-ready Figma files with states and responsive specs.
• Partner with UX, strategy, and development to shape user flows and IA.
• Mentor junior designers and guide growth; present work to clients with clear rationale.
