Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a senior Design Systems Engineer to own how client design systems are built. You will extract patterns from brands and reference sites into a token-driven, scalable system used by a build pipeline.

This role is senior, systems-first and focused on delivery across several brands. You will build token architecture in Figma, ship reusable component libraries, and document the system so others can implement it reliably.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing for the web with design system work in portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout and variants.
• A portfolio showing distinct client brands with consistent design-system rigor.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Ship core component libraries that hold up across an entire site, not just a homepage.
• Document the system so a developer or an automated pipeline can execute it without questions.
• Work across several client brands at once, each looking distinctly different, with the same structural rigor.
