Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Design Supervisor to assist the Design Manager, oversee the design team, and ensure drawings are accurate and on schedule. The role includes training new designers and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and sales to meet project timelines.

Qualified candidates have an Associate's degree or two years of related experience, supervisory background, and Level 3 design certification, with knowledge of wood frame construction and ERP systems to support

Qualifications

• Assists the Design Manager in overseeing the work of the design team ensuring drawings are error free and completed on time.
• Schedules work assignments and reviews/approves drawings.
• Trains new designers and supports design personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees employees using engineering/design software to perform tasks.
• Manages daily layout of design work and checks geometry for structural wood products.
• Reviews orders and estimates completion times; assigns design staff.
• Sets design pricing and coordinates with truss technician.
