Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Design Software Support Agent within the Design Center of Excellence (DCOE). The role focuses on installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Autodesk and Bentley software across the enterprise to ensure stable operations and standardization.

Qualifications

• Certification or equivalent experience with industry-standard design software or a degree in engineering, IT, or a design-related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer/OpenBridge Modeler, or other engineering software.
• Working knowledge of design and plan preparation procedures, best practices, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist, implement, and maintain policies for design software administration.
• Assist in migrating projects to newer software versions.
• Set up, configure, and start design software; advise on hardware needs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting within design applications.
• Enforce design standards and best practices (layering, BIM/CIM, annotations).
• Support training sessions and create materials to share knowledge.

Position summary: The Design Software Support Agent within the Design Center of Excellence (DCOE) plays a role in advancing design technology, standardization, and operational excellence across the organization. This position is responsible for assisting with the stable operation of AEC design software within the organization. This includes assisting with the installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of designated AEC design software platforms (such as Autodesk and Bentley ) across the enterprise. The agent will also analyze and resolve userdesignsoftwareissues ina timelyandaccuratefashion. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Compensation for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist, implement, andmaintainpolicies, procedures,andassociated plans fordesignsoftware administration.
• Assistin migratingprojects to newersoftwareversions ofdesignapplications as needed.

• Assistwith enforcement ofdesignstandardsandbest practices,regardinglayering, dimensioning, text annotations, BIM/CIM, andadherence to client standards.
• Assistwithpreparation oftraining sessions and teaching materials foradvancingknowledge throughout the organization.

Required Experience

Certificationor equivalent working experienceinindustry-standarddesign software,oradegree in engineering, Information Technology,oradesign-related field

2 yearsminimumexperiencewithAutodeskCivil 3D,BentleyOpenXDesign productsor other engineering,architectureor construction software packages.

Working knowledge of design andplan preparationprocedures, best practices,and tools.

Preferred Experience

Experiencewith Autodesk Revit, various Autodesk products,OpenRoadsDesigner,OpenBridgeModeler,orvarious Bentley products

Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, technology,or related field.

Proficiencyin Bentley and/or Autodesk CADD products

Proficiencyin ProjectWise and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud(ACC)

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
