Overview of the Design Studio Specialist role

You will inspire customers to express themselves in their home and assist them in completing their purchase seamlessly. You will promote ongoing customer engagement and strengthen their connection with our brand.

Responsibilities

  1. Utilize design expertise to assist clients through in-store and in-home consultations, focusing on designing their living spaces to drive sales.
  2. Perform productive in-home consultations, including accurate measurement and assessment of client spaces.
  3. Create and present design plans tailored to client needs, styles, and preferences.
  4. Maintain current knowledge of sales and promotions to meet or exceed sales and productivity goals.
  5. Provide exemplary service including gift wrapping, registry, merchandise location, catalog/internet orders, special and back orders, charge sends, courier deliveries, and furniture orders.
  6. Demonstrate extensive product knowledge, including features and benefits of the entire design studio assortment.

Criteria

  • Strong communication, clienteling, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to coordinate complex large orders across multiple sales channels.
  • Experience with design elements preferred.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience; specialty retail experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 75 lbs., using proper safety techniques.
  • Full-time associates should have open availability to meet business needs.
  • Part-Time Flex associates must be available for a minimum of two weekend shifts and two weekday shifts, with greater availability required for 20+ hours/week.
