Job summary

Optimal is seeking an Interior Design Release Engineer to lead the engineering development, integration, validation, and launch of Instrument Panel, floor console, and decorative trim systems with a focus on safety, quality, and cost targets.

You will drive disciplined delivery across vehicle programs, coordinating with design, purchasing, manufacturing, and suppliers to achieve performance and mass goals while maintaining high craftsmanship and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; mechanical/autos/aerospace or related field.
8–10 years in IP, floor console, or decorative trim development through launch.
Proven subsystem ownership and end‑to‑end delivery to milestones.
Strong DFMEA/DRBFM/DFSS experience and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Program & Technical Leadership for instrument panel and console subsystems.
Design, development, analysis, implementation, and validation of complex IP/FC subsystems.
Perform design evaluations and concept development across vehicle programs.
Utilize CAE tools and collaborate with Safety Performance to validate solutions.
Lead CAD development through suppliers and coordinate with other vehicle systems.
