Job summary

State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Tallahassee seeks a CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS CONSULTANT II - Design Project Manager to direct major construction and park development projects, ensuring design and construction meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include managing contracts with contractors and consultants, inspecting sites, reviewing change orders, and coordinating with the Design Manager. Travel may be required; valid driver's license is needed.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages major projects for park development, renovation and facility repair.
• Oversees contractors, architects and engineers to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
• Inspects projects to verify compliance with construction/bid documents.
• Manages projects to meet schedules and budgets using approved procedures.
• Coordinates changes promptly with the Design Manager to avoid delays.
