Shambaugh seeks a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design Fire Protection Systems for various projects. You will create layouts with AutoCAD/HydraCAD and run hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fab.

The role requires familiarity with contract drawings, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate across trades. Onsite work with potential extended hours may be required.

Competenze

• Associate or technical degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCAD/HydraCAD/AutoSPRINK experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance; able to work extended hours and weekends.

Job Summary

Shambaugh is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer who will design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
• Write, plan, coordinate, and make presentations to individuals and groups
• Work with and comprehend mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
• Responsible for BIM modeling and field surveying
• Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the trades
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience. Examples include: Architectural, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Degrees
• Fire Protection design experience preferred
• NICET certification preferred
• AutoCad experience and/or Hydratec Experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $60,000 - 120,000 annual salary

Other Compensation: Profit Sharing Bonus
