Design Project Manager - (25001122)

Position Summary

Temple University’s Project Delivery Group is seeking a Design Project Manager to join its team. This position reports to the Associate Director of Planning & Design and involves providing planning, design, and construction management services across Temple’s campuses. The role focuses on managing architecture and interior design projects from predesign to project closeout, working closely with architects, construction managers, and department staff. The Design Project Manager will also support the overall operations of the department and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of professional experience.
• Experience in space planning, programming, design, construction documentation, or construction administration.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Progress toward professional licensure.
• LEED Accreditation (preferred).
• Knowledge of project management software (e.g., e-Builder/Trimble).

Required Skills and Abilities

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for design documentation.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite and 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or 3D Studio.
• Experience with planning software applications like Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, develop, and explain drawings to non-architects.
• Ability to create and coordinate graphic presentations.

*Note: This position requires a DMV license check and a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote).
