Job summary

HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc. is seeking a Design Project Manager to lead automotive Body In White tooling projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure on-time delivery within budget. You will review proposals, manage work plans, attend design reviews with customers, and maintain project timelines.

Proficiency with UG, AutoCAD, IDEAS, and CATIA is essential, as is strong leadership and communication. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum ten years of design experience in automotive BIW tooling.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project proposals to determine time frames, funding, and resources.
• Provide direct customer contact and attend design review meetings.
• Explain technical aspects for overall project management of the design.
• Outline, manage and maintain work plans and scope of authority.
• Confer with personnel to resolve design problems and provide technical advice.
• Maintain project timeline and budget.
• Document tooling changes and customer alterations in the project log.
• Attend and document all Standard Component Buy-Offs.

Currently, we are seeking a Design Project Manager to become a part of the HIROTEC AMERICA, Inc. team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Design Project Manager will be responsible to:

• Review project proposals to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
• Provide direct customer contact and attend design review meetings with customers.
• Explain technical expertise for overall project management of the design.
• Outline, manage and maintain work plans to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and work to resolve problems regarding design.
• Maintain project timeline and budget.
• Maintain Job Log on tooling changes and documentation of changes made by the customer on project.
• Attend and document all Standard Component Buy-Offs.

Requirements

The position requirements include:

• A Bachelor's degree and/or minimum ten years design experience specializing in automotive Body In White processing and tooling
• Knowledge in blueprint reading, manual design and CAD design on several systems (UG, AutoCAD, IDEAS, CATIA)
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of the Automotive Industry (closures/BIW - OEM preferred)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Products)
• Technical aptitude with problem solving skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and must possess strong organizational skills, teamwork and leadership skills
