Job summary

Woodweb in Indiana seeks a Designer to meet with customers, decorators, and contractors to design custom cabinets and countertops, and to manage each project from showroom to installation. You will handle on-site measures, estimating, CAD layout, and collaborate with drafting to finalize drawings.

The role involves traveling in a company vehicle to job sites, ordering materials, and using a computer to track project tasks.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree required.
• 1-year design/CAD experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD or design software required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong math skills for angles, dimensions, fractions, decimals.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers, decorators, and contractors to design cabinets and countertops.
• Manage project from showroom to installation including measurements and estimating.
• Create CAD layouts and coordinate with drafting for drawings.
• Order materials and coordinate production to install; travel to job sites.
• Use computer to design and track project tasks; ensure accurate measurements.
