Job summary

EwingCole, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm in New York, seeks a Design Professional 2 to join our New York Office. You will contribute to project teams across design and delivery, producing representational graphics, models and drawings under guidance of senior architects.

The role emphasizes independent work on routine assignments, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and applying codes, sustainability and quality standards to deliver

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture required, Master of Architecture preferred.
  • Architectural Experience Program (AXP); in process of attaining professional registration.
  • Excels in the guidelines of Design Professional 1.

Responsibilities

  • Documentation: Composes production documentation with appropriate annotation
  • Representational Skills: Creates renderings and sketches efficiently throughout project design
  • Building Technology: Applies knowledge and coordinates with engineers
  • Project Delivery: Supports the project team in all phases of project documentation
  • Codes and Accessibility: References applicable codes in the development of projects
  • Quality Standards: References company standards in the development of projects
  • Site Planning: Supports efforts in building placement, orientation, circulation
  • Sustainability: Considers the health and environmental impacts of materials used in design
  • Design Generation: Enhances the key aspects of a design with the addition of detail

EwingCole is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices across the country. Our multi-disciplinary practice is built on the core values of professional excellence, design quality and collaboration. We are seeking an ambitious Design Professional 2 to join our New York Office.


As part of the architecture discipline, the Design Professional 2 contributes to project teams at all stages of design and delivery, applying technical knowledge, creative design skills, and industry best practices while accurately producing essential deliverables for projects at the direction of experienced architects and designers. This position is responsible for the generation of representational graphics, models and drawings to support design presentations and the technical delivery of projects. The Design Professional 2 brings design talent and a strong work ethic, contributing ideas and thoughtful solutions as a collaborative part of an interdisciplinary team. This person exhibits initiative and is capable of working independently on routine assignments and seeking out guidance from experienced project leaders for complex or unusual conditions.

Requirements


  • Bachelor of Architecture required, Master of Architecture preferred
