Job description

We are seeking a mid-level Design Professional to join our Higher Education, K-12, and Civic teams. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to gain hands‑on experience across multiple project phases while working under the guidance of senior architects and project leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing drawings, presentations, and design layouts for small to moderately complex projects.
  • Support drafting and modeling tasks using firm-standard software tools.
  • Participate in early design phases including space planning, schematic design, and concept visualization.
  • Conduct product, material, and code research to support design development and compliance.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain project data, precedents, and technical information.
  • Assist in preparing reports, technical documentation, and client presentation materials.
  • Support the production of construction documents under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
  • Assist with specifications and technical documentation for senior team review.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable building codes and regulations and incorporate guidance into project work.
  • Work closely with architects, designers, and project managers to support project objectives.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute appropriately to discussions.
  • Demonstrate initiative in learning firm processes, technologies, and project delivery methods.
  • Actively pursue professional growth and development opportunities toward licensure (if applicable).
Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture required; licensure track preferred.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in an architectural or design setting.
  • Proficiency in firm-standard design and documentation software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
