Description

Brown and Caldwellisin need of the right candidate to provide design delivery leadership for our largest and most complex water and wastewater design projects.

This position willbe responsible formanagingdrinking water,wastewater, and/or infrastructure design projects andmaintainingand enhancing relationships with existing clients. The Design Manager rolewill focus onplanning and executing design projects.The role will work closely with project managers to develop project timelines, track progress, and ensure that project milestones are met.The role will conduct project performance analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to project managers.The rolewill also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address project risks and issues.

This position will be hybrid and you must be able to work from the Philadelphia office a couple of days/week.

Responsibilities

• Providetechnical leadership within the team.

• Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the development and implementation of design scope, schedule, and budget.

• Help oversee design quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) management.
• Managedesign deliverables in line with project requirements.
• Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
• May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.

Experience

• Typically requiresaminimum of5yearsof professional or relevantexperience, with2 to 3 yearsofexperience required in design management.
• Licensed Professional Engineer required.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills.
• Ability to focus on client needs while balancing multiple priorities to include but not limited to project management, design, bidding and construction management services.
• Strong technical writing skills required.
• Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentations experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation.

Education

• A bachelor’s degree inengineering or architectureorrelatedprofessional experienceis required.

Preferred Education

• Master's degree in related engineering field of Mechanical Engineering, Civil, or Environmental Engineering

Salary Range: Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location B: $142,000 - $194,000
