Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Design Manager to lead multi-discipline design activities for state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. You will guide technical design, scheduling and budget performance, and ensure design quality and safety across projects from small upgrades to large capital programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 8+ years of manufacturing project experience, preferably pharma/bio.

We're looking for a Design Manager in Cincinnati, OH who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for the coordination of projects including, guidance of all technical design, scheduling and budgetary performance, design quality, and safety. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will develop and deliver small- and large-scale capital projects. Responsibilities

• Support a safety-focused working environment and development of a safe design for all stakeholders
• Responsible for the overall design coordination amongst all disciplines
• Manage the design checking procedure
• Participate in design progress measurement reviews
• Monitor and manage design risks
• Assist the Project Manager in the resolution of various project-related issues.
• Review weekly/monthly reports on status and progress changes.
• Facilitate internal and client technical meetings

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or other; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• At least 8+ years of experience working on manufacturing projects as a design lead, project engineer, or project manager leading projects, preferably in a pharma/bio environment.

The base salary range for this position is $113,400.00 to $190,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
