Job summary

Open Plan Systems in Richmond, VA is seeking a Design Manager to lead the Design Department, supervise the design team, manage workflow, and ensure CET Designer standards and high-quality deliverables.

This hands-on leadership role collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Customer Service to complete projects on schedule; CET Designer and AutoCAD proficiency, plus 5+ years in commercial furniture design and 2+ years in supervision, are required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in commercial furniture design or related field.
• Two years of supervisory/management experience.
• CET Designer proficiency required.
• AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial office furniture systems and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Design Department; supervise and develop the design team.
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
• Maintain CET Designer standards, templates, and product libraries.
