This position offers the chance to work on various exciting projects across California, including public works, educational facilities, and airport projects. We are seeking talented Design Managers at all levels (Level 1, 2, and Senior) who are passionate about engineering and eager to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the design process for district projects, ensuring compliance with all standards and requirements.
• Oversee multiple projects, working with architects, consultants, and district personnel to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure building designs meet district standards and guidelines.
• Establish and follow processes for selecting architects and reviewing designs.
• Provide clear directions to architects regarding project goals, standards, site, schedule, and budget.
• Review design changes to stay within budget and monitor project progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience managing facilities design or capital projects, with at least 4 years in educational facilities or similar public agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering.
• Preferred: Valid California architectural or engineering license.

Salary Range

• Level I: $145,000 - $155,000
• Level II: $155,000 - $165,000
• Senior: $170,000 - $180,000
