Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Lead Product Designer in San Jose to own significant portions of the personalization experience, from exploration through delivery. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, ML, Analytics, Pricing, and Design to shape traveler-first experiences powered by signals and memory.

You will translate complex AI-driven opportunities into intuitive, testable designs, advancing concepts toward real product implementations while maintaining a high craft bar

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design, UX design, interaction design, or equivalent experience creating digital products and experiences.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong craft across complex digital experiences, including work that progressed toward or into market.
• Ability to translate ambiguous opportunities into clear, intuitive product experiences.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to connect interactions across journeys, platforms, or ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of personalization by designing experiences that translate traveler signals into meaningful personalized experiences.
• Solve cold-start challenges by moving experiences from limited context toward relevant personalization.
• Design signal-capture experiences that let travelers express what matters while keeping personalization explainable.
• Connect product surfaces with the broader personalization ecosystem, including signals, memory, models, and interactions.
• Turn complex technology into intuitive experiences in collaboration with engineering and data science.
• Prototype to learn with high-fidelity prototypes and experiments to accelerate learning.
