Assured is seeking a design leader in the United States to shape the product design system and set standards across teams. You will own and evolve the design system, creating shared foundations and scalable patterns that elevate user experiences.

Collaborating with Brand, Product, and Engineering, you will translate brand thinking into scalable infrastructure, craft high-quality interactions and visuals, and explore AI-enabled tooling to speed design and iteration.

Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance and provides large insurers with software solutions for claims processing. The company says it powers claims processing for some of the largest insurers in the world and faces challenges across digital experiences and ML-driven decision-making. Assured is looking for a strong design leader to shape product design, create systems, standards and tools, and to own and evolve the company’s design system.

What you'll do

• Own and evolve the design system, consolidating fragmented systems and patterns into a shared foundation
• Define patterns and standards to make Assured experiences cohesive and well crafted
• Partner across Brand, Product, and Engineering to connect product expression with how products are built
• Create tools and ways of working that enable teams across Assured to build experiences at scale
• Explore how AI and new tooling can help design, build, and iterate faster
• Raise the bar for craft, consistency, and accessibility across products

• Strong product design experience, including meaningful work on design systems, platform experiences, or shared product foundations
• Exceptional attention to craft with strong interaction and visual design skills
• Systems thinker who can turn complexity into clear, scalable solutions
• Experience working deeply with Engineering and technical fluency to understand how design systems become scalable product infrastructure
• Ability to partner across Brand and Product, connecting brand thinking with functional needs
• Natural leader who can create clarity, alignment, and momentum without needing a lot of structure
• Practical and hands-on, able to think long-term while simplifying and shipping work
• Curiosity about AI and the future of how teams design and build products
