Job summary

Downtown Boulder Partnership seeks an experienced Designer to collaborate with a Senior Designer and cross-functional teams to create apparel designs that meet commercial goals.

You will contribute to design strategy, deliver technical sketches and BOMs, and stay ahead of fabric and trend developments to keep the brand competitive. Willingness to travel domestically is expected, with mentorship of junior designers a key aspect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or related field with 5–7+ years of experience.
• Activewear or dancewear background preferred.
• Ability to mentor and develop design team members.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to overall Design plan and category direction to drive sales and margin targets.
• Create detailed technical sketches, spec sheets, and BOMs ensuring accurate fit and construction.
• Collaborate with technical designers to ensure development packages are accurate.
• Participate in fittings and handoff meetings with PD & Tech.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and align with the product development calendar.
• Incorporate fabric, trim, and market trends into designs for commercial viability.
• Analyze global and domestic markets to identify trends and influence product assortment.
• Mentor and guide design team members to enhance technical capabilities.
• Drive sales performance through data analysis and competitive offerings.
