Job description

Main purpose of the Design Intern role

To partner with an aspiring designer who is eager to learn about the design process and gain industry experience. To assist in the design department for Tularosa/Stone Cold Fox.

Major Responsibilities

• Assist with market research of competitors for inspiration and product opportunities.
• Research fabrics, finishes, and styling details for review by the Designer.
• Assist with design updates (sketches, line guides, PLM, buyer note updates).
• Attend fittings for all categories and take notes. Follow up with cross functional teams where needed.
• Assist with fabric and trim approvals/organization.
• Conduct market research where applicable for the brand.

Competencies

• Passion to learn about the design process from conception to production.
• Receptive to feedback and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of basic apparel construction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree as a current Design Student at a fashion design school.
• Sketching proficiency on Procreate or Photoshop.

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range is $18.50/hr to $18.50/hr.
