Job summary

HDR, Inc. is offering a Design Intern position for Fall 2026 in Denver, Colorado. The role provides real-world experience through various exciting projects while allowing you to collaborate with both recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring programs.

Responsibilities include participating in the architectural design process, developing presentation graphics, and ensuring completion of construction drawings. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a total compensation in the range of $18 to $30 per hour based on skills and experience.

Design Intern (Fall 2026)

• Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of an Architect, Project Manager, or other professionals
• Participate in the architectural design process, and develop alternative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to client or for agency approval
• Follow through on design development drawings and models, and collaborate with production staff for technical details and completion of construction drawings
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
