Design Within Reach in Berkeley venues is seeking a Sales Assistant to support daily store operations and assist clients with orders and inquiries. You will help maintain displays, manage inventory, and participate in training to learn our product lines and design principles.

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and navigating websites.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with order processing and client follow-up.
• Maintain the store’s visual presentation and product displays.
• Assist with inventory of marketing materials, swatches, and office supplies.
• Learn about our products and design principles through training and team meetings.
• Communicate with clients via phone and email to provide helpful, friendly service.
