Job summary

BlueScope North America is seeking a Design Estimator I to translate project requirements into clear, reliable pricing and to provide preorder technical support for Fortune 500 customers and major influencers. The role operates in a deadline-driven environment where estimates influence pricing decisions and bid competitiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; multitasking capability.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate quotations and pre-order assistance for low to moderate complexity projects.
Support sales with information needed for setting final prices.
Assist builders in understanding pricing software.
Actively participate in team initiatives focused on regional objectives and profitability.
Increase or maintain department quote hit ratio.
Mentor entry-level estimators when needed.
