Job summary

Clopay Corporation is seeking a Design Engineering Supervisor for the Mountaintop Facility in Pennsylvania. You will lead a team of design engineers, guide technical execution, and ensure projects meet quality, budget and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 15+ years experience with Associates or 10+ years with Bachelor's.
• Proficient in AutoDesk Inventor or similar 3D modelling software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• High mechanical aptitude with hands-on shop tools knowledge.
• EIT or PE preferred; motors/electrical control knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise design engineers on-site and remotely.
• Provide support to external customers with Sales/Tech Support.
• Handle special requests outside standard engineering scope.
• Troubleshoot and install support for customers and units.
• Maintain engineering standards and ECOs.
• Extend product lines and design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Collaborate with Marketing to launch new products.
• Create 3D models using Inventor across materials and processes.
• Analyze parts for compliance with ASCE/AISC/IBC/ACI.
• Identify cost reductions and product improvements.
• Participate in design reviews and brainstorming.
• Lead projects solo or with other engineers.
