Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a seasoned engineering professional to support design, development, analysis, testing, and field tasks for nuclear projects.

You will plan assignments, resolve technical issues, develop procedures, and apply engineering standards with hands-on wiring and control systems knowledge. The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or technical field and 6+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field required.
  • Minimum 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey detailed technical data.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Knowledge of industrial controls, cabinet layouts, and schematics/wiring diagrams.
  • PLC and VFD experience; hands-on wiring and assembly.
  • Advanced technical writing skills (operating instructions, test procedures).

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

Total Rewards Package

  • Salary: $85,000 - $116,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
