Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an Engineering Manager - Design Engineering to lead and execute design engineering across multiple projects. You will translate requirements into manufacturable designs, manage schedules, and drive quality through proper release controls and BOM management.

You will coach engineers, collaborate with Manufacturing and Procurement, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining engineering standards and compliance with customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering leadership or people-management experience.
• Strong understanding of design release, BOMs, and change-management processes.
• Experience with 3D CAD and engineering-document-management systems (Autodesk suite).

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineering across multiple projects and ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing to align schedules.
• Mentor and develop design engineers and designers, driving performance reviews.
• Oversee engineering BOMs, part numbers, and ERP release coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement in design workflows, tools, and documentation.
• Engage with customers and cross-functional teams to communicate decisions and risks.
